In one sentence: MigrañApp keeps everything you log on your phone only. There are no accounts, no servers and no analytics, and nobody — including the developer — can see your data. The only thing that ever leaves your device is what you explicitly choose to export and share. The app offers one optional, one-time purchase, handled by Google Play and described in section 5, and one optional ad that appears only if you ask for it (section 6); your health records still never leave the device.

1. Who is responsible

MigrañApp is developed and published by Black Raven Dev (independent developer). For any question about this policy or about your data, write to srblackravendev@gmail.com.

2. What data the app handles

MigrañApp is a migraine diary. You enter the information and the app stores it so it can show it back to you later. The data you can record is:

Health data (sensitive category): whether you had a migraine or headache, its intensity, duration, pain type and head region; symptoms (visual and sensory aura, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, photophobia, phonophobia, neck stiffness, fatigue, difficulty concentrating); sleep hours and quality; glasses of water; stress level and mood; medication taken, time and effectiveness; possible dietary and environmental triggers; and any free-text notes you write.
Menstrual cycle data (sensitive category): last menstrual period date, average cycle length and average period length.
Profile data: a name (optional — you may leave it blank or use a nickname), age, preferred language, and your app preferences (reminder time, autofill values, daily-entry layout).

MigrañApp does not collect advertising identifiers, location, contacts, camera, microphone, installed-app lists, or any usage or diagnostic data.

3. Where it is stored and who can access it

All information is stored in a SQLite database (migrana.db) inside the app's private storage on your device. That storage belongs exclusively to MigrañApp: Android prevents other apps from reading it.

There is no server or remote database associated with this app. The developer has no technical means of accessing your records.

The app is configured with allowBackup="false", which means Android does not copy your diary into Google Drive's automatic backup. The trade-off is that if you switch phones or uninstall the app, your data will not restore by itself — that is what the manual export in section 5 is for.

4. What MigrañApp does not do

It does not require or allow creating an account, and never asks for an email address or phone number.
It does not send your data to any server, first-party or third-party.
It contains no analytics, telemetry or behavioural tracking tools.
It does not sell, rent or share your data with third parties. There are no third parties involved.

Technical note about the Internet permission: the app declares android.permission.INTERNET because the React Native platform it is built on requires it. MigrañApp makes no network requests during normal use.

5. In-app purchases

MigrañApp offers one optional, one-time purchase, MigrañApp Plus, which unlocks additional analyses, a fuller report and CSV export. It is not a subscription: you pay once.

Payment is handled by Google Play. MigrañApp never sees or stores your card or any payment details.
To know whether you already bought Plus, the app asks Google Play what this Google account owns. That request goes to Google, not to a server of ours.
No diary data is sent with it: no migraines, symptoms, menstrual cycle, medication or notes.
No MigrañApp account is created.
The result is stored on your phone so Plus keeps working offline.

6. Advertising

MigrañApp shows no ads on any screen. The only ad that exists is optional: if you want to unlock a Plus feature for a day without buying it, you can choose to watch a short video. If you never tap that button, the app never requests an ad and never goes online for this.

The provider is Google AdMob.
Ads are always requested non-personalized: Google does not use this usage to build an advertising profile of you.
When an ad is requested, Google receives the device advertising identifier, basic device and network information, and the approximate location it infers from your IP address.
No diary content is ever sent: no migraines, symptoms, menstrual cycle, medication or notes. The request carries only the ad unit identifier.
In the EU and UK you are asked for consent before the first ad, through Google's certified form. You can change it at any time in Profile → Data & privacy → Ad privacy options.
With MigrañApp Plus the ad option disappears entirely.

7. When data leaves the device

Only when you explicitly ask for it. The app offers two exports, both started by you:

Neurologist report (PDF): builds a summary of the date range you pick and opens the Android share sheet so you decide what to do with the file.
Backup (JSON): exports all of your records to a file and opens the same share sheet. You can also restore your data by selecting a previously exported backup file.

In both cases MigrañApp hands the file to whichever app you choose (email, messaging, Drive, local storage, and so on). From that moment the file is outside MigrañApp's control and is governed by the destination app's privacy policy and by what you do with it. Please handle those files carefully — they contain health information.

8. Permissions the app requests

Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): only if you turn on the daily reminder. The reminder is scheduled locally on your device through Android's alarm system. There are no push notifications and no server sending them, and the notification contains none of your logged data.
Vibration (VIBRATE): for the daily reminder alert.
Storage read and write (Android 12 and earlier only): needed to save and pick the report and backup files. Not requested on Android 13 and later.
Internet: declared as a platform requirement, with no actual use (see section 4).

9. Retention and deletion of your data

Your records stay on the device until you delete them. Nothing expires automatically.
You can delete any logged day from the History screen.
You can delete everything at once by uninstalling MigrañApp: Android permanently erases the app's private storage, including the database.
Because no copy exists on any server, there is nothing to request from the developer for deletion — deletion is immediate and entirely in your hands.

10. Children

MigrañApp is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children. The app has no way of identifying its users, since it uses no accounts and no identifiers.

11. Security

Data is protected by Android's application sandbox and storage encryption. Because no information is transmitted over a network, there is no exposure in transit. We recommend keeping your device's screen lock enabled, as it is the main barrier protecting your diary.

12. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, this page will be updated along with the "Last updated" date shown at the top. If a future version of the app were ever to add a feature that transmits data, it will be announced here and your explicit consent will be requested inside the app before it is enabled.
